I wanted to make just one post, but I guess I just can't spring in Ljubljana with spring in Italy. And San Marino for that matter. LOL Well, the main story will more or less remain untold. Iggy, Berti, Ricky and me stormed a two days trip to Mirabilandia amusement park close to Ravenna, Italy. We had a blast of a time, and we also managed to do some "normal" tourist stuff this time. I finally put a new country on my "visited" map. Well, it's a tiny little country, but still. It's San Marino. Hmmm what to say. I have to say it left me pretty unimpressed. The city, especially the old part, looks like a museum. Soul-less display. So, two hours and a few pictures later we were back in Italy. In a country full of soul. And life. And good food. :)

Some images are here, the rest is a set on flickr.

The Wind

Earlier than 6am
Still in Lido di Classe, Italy. People in the room were snoring, so I went out on the balcony. It wasn't even 6am. I got a little reward.

Lush Italian countryside.

But not so thrilling. :)

I'll take your word and steer clear.

Did you wave at Croatia across the sea? (Assuming that would be the general direction you'd be looking from the seaside photo....)

Well, my mind was focused on dinner, mostly. :)

San Marino does kind of look a bit Disneyland-ish in these pics.

I love love love the pic of you two cowering on the rocks :)

I think that everybody in San Marino would simply adore comparison with Disneyland. :)

Well, we didn't enjoy that rock, let me tell you. LOL

Did you get your passport stamped in RSM? ^_^ I admit, I'd like to visit -- not that it'd take me all that long to do so, considering 9_9

But it really isn't all that interesting. :)

Oh, that beautiful sunset! :)

Spring is definitely more advanced there than here. That glass has an almost summer look to it already.

And now I miss Iggy. :(

Glass or grass? And it's some kind of grain. :)

LOL grass. Another proof that I don't have to type in foreign languages at such an ungodly hour. :)

Definitely. :)

Well, cereals are essentially grass. But I need a close-up photo to determine what that plant is. Could be barley, but I can't really tell from such a distance.

And the pic was taken from the car, so it's all blurry.

Lovely photos!
I've never been to San Marino, maybe next year when we're planning to tour Le Marche.

And Happy Birthday by the way!

Big hugs,
