This may be too odd a question to bother with, but it just came to me, so... I've finally come to Ljubljana for a visit, and I've spent my first night and we're getting up and having breakfast and you're about to show me around. What would you take me to see in your city on the first day? Any special activities you might associate or plan for my visit?

I love all your photo albums of your travels in Italia but I always remember how stunning your images of Ljubljana are... thanks to you, the city goes call to me, even though it feels very far away... Fortunately, I agree with Montaigne that "the journey, not the arrival, is what matters."

hugs, Shimmer

The city in the first day.... well, definitely the Old Town with the castle and all, to enjoy the very much alive cafe culture here, to just relax and breathe in the city.

Activities... we'd talk about all and then decide.

A true second-worlder's question: What degree of poverty would make you feel really unhappy? Not being able to buy... what? Not being able to travel? What if even going to a cafe with a friend had to be a carefully calculated luxury?
Mar. 19th, 2012 11:15 pm (UTC)
Hmmm.... not being able to buy.... I don't know. Basic stuff, well, basic for me, but I am not talking about food and such. Clothes, shoes, some gadgets, some cosmetics, presents for people, being able to have a lot of "cafe and bar life".

If I couldn't travel, I'd really feel down.
