I even surprised myself. We went to see Igor's parents yesterday and since it was kinda birthday weekend for Igor's brother and his nephew it also meant full house. Full, loud house. And while I usually spent a lot of time sleeping or "sleeping" or poking my nose in the computer screen, I managed to spend a lot of time with the family, playing games, Wii, taking long walks and all. Guess the fact that the kids are growing and they don't tend to spend most of the day with their mouths wide open, shouting... definitely helps. :) And... tonight is the first night we turned the heating on. Hello, cold!

And for some of you... this is how real corn looks like. LOL (read: I ran out of useful pictures hihihi)

Sounds like a pleasant visit.

We had 29 acres of corn on certain summers at the farm, so, I recognize corn on the stalk!

Yes, I guess you might recognise it then.

It was really pleasant, yes. :)

LOL it's always good to see real corn. ;)

I'm glad that your socializing went so well. It's not easy for me to communicate with children ether. :)

And we already need some heating too. :(

I can communicate astonishingly well if they don't scream all the time. That just kills my will to do anything with them. :)

What, no corn smut?
Oct. 19th, 2010 10:13 pm (UTC)
Well, no, this is a straight-corn eating country. LOL

First night for the heater here too!

If only I had a Slovenian hunk to keep me warm!
Oct. 19th, 2010 10:15 pm (UTC)
Yes, and some cold northern wind with all that. Yeeesh, where have all those warm times gone?

And tbass would kill me?
Oct. 19th, 2010 11:27 pm (UTC)
tbass would be setting up the camera before jumping into bed with us!

Now that's my kind of party. :)

But we can skip the cam part.
Oct. 20th, 2010 02:09 pm (UTC)
Even better!

It's private and exhausting!

Oct. 20th, 2010 02:51 pm (UTC)
OH YES! :) let's do it.

Glad to hear you enjoyed such a pleasant visit.

I can't recall ever seeing cornsilk get that intense almost black color. I grew a row of corn in my Mom's backyard vegetable garden one year. It was a lot of work, but oh the flavor...!

Oct. 19th, 2010 10:16 pm (UTC)
Yup, it was almost completely dry and so it really got dark.

Well, "work" would kill all the "fun" for me. I can be lazy like that.
Oct. 17th, 2010 02:09 pm (UTC)
Yes it is so much easier when the brats have grown up some.
Still waiting for the communal heating to be turned on here in Paris. It was bloody freezing today! happy to be returning to the tropics this evening...

So I guess you're enjoying the warmth already! :)))))))

Socialising is great ... some of your friends miss socialising with you ... I hope we will soon. Kiss and hug from Billerica near Boston.
Oct. 19th, 2010 10:17 pm (UTC)
It will all happen. :))))))) Enjoy The States!

Oct. 25th, 2010 01:06 pm (UTC)
Congratulations, Tomaz. :)
