Just an F-Blog #44. After the rain.

Slovenia experienced the worst flooding in the last 30 years this weekend. Some parts of the country are rathe devastated and also Ljubljana got hit. The part of the city where we lived before was under water. Anyway, we're okay, here where we are now, it remained completely normal, no high waters no nothing. And after three days of extremely intense rain Sunday afternoon finally brought some sun and we escaped some 15 minutes far from the city to visit one of our friends. It really felt like a bliss. So, an F-blog after a few months. It's time, right? :)

Ljubljana is somewhere over the hills.

Žaž (short for Matjaž) and his friend; a tiny great tit (yes, I know LOL). That birdie literally chose him.

And Iggy observing the rest of the birds.

Must be Aeghidius' baby brother.

Luna, the ever hungry labrador retriever.

The End.

I adore Luna. I'd take her home with me at this very moment. Ever-hungry perfectly describes the Labrador. Jess was an eating machine, but managed to stay lithe. Give Luna a hug for me.

Oh, and glad to hear you escaped most of the wrath of the waters. We are having the exact opposite problem...no rain at all since late July. We're becoming a tinderbox.

Lovely day.

Luna is a really sweet dog, and, yes, totally typical when it comes to food. All sorts and kinds and quantities of food. Will give her a hug............

Yes, waters were kind to us. And now the country is slowly trying to get back to normal.

Ugh, poor Slovenia... (and I still remmber fondly the place where you lived).

Judging by the colours, your autumn is more advanced than ours. It's getting colder here again, after a week of blissfully warm weather (it had to be the coldest for my visit in Sofia last Saturday, of course).

LOL I though the same thing about the gnome.

Yes, it was high time... I always enjoy your photos.

yes, colours are going to change quickly now. temps are dropping, morning fog is more and more present, so the nature will explode in its most wonderful colours soon. and another year has passed.......... but it was a good one.

Don't know what to say about the flooding, except I hope healing is quick and easy (though it rarely is)...

Are those jars miniatures?? If so, what are they resting on?

Flooding..... we'll recover soon, but, yes, never soon enough.

Nope, this are actualy jars, a bit smaller, but still and they are resting on a steel stove.

Colours are going to EXPLODE. :) Stay tuned.

Pleased you have missed the flooding...not so good for the others I guess! I love Autumn with the colours and hues, and the smell that goes with it. Lovely pics; nice and rustic.

Rustic, yes, that's the word that best describes also the house of Žaž. Not my cup of tea, actually, but in that setting it seems just perfect.

And... Autumn is here......

Beautiful. There's a pristine, serene quality to these images.

Poor Luna ... poor neglected puppy .... nobody loves her ... nobody FEEDS her ... nobody cares... wah!! (making snufflling puppy noises)

Slovenia is such a beautiful country. Hope the folks in Ljubljana who got flooded are getting help.

Yes... we finally found some peace after all that rain and thunder.

Luna is total sweetness! :)

And the floods..... are almost over.

glad you're ok after the flooding, hopefully the rest of the city will recover well and quick. Very early in the year for such storms I would think.

Almost all is clean and dry. :) Well, heavy rain and floods usually happen in Spring and Autumn here, so it's something to be expected. But not that radical as this last weekend.

I love that picture in the hills above Ljubljana so very beautiful. I think the picture of Zaz with the bird is one of the most amazing though. That bird kind'a looks like a type of bird we had in Idaho called a Evening Grosbeak, though its a little hard to tell lol.

Birdie was amazing. It kept on coming back. A little whistle was enough and it appeared again.

So a combination is the best, right? :)

Glad you escaped being impacted by the flooding. Luna is so cute, reminds me of my old dog with the pink nose. If I would have been there I wouldn't have been playing with Luna all day.

Would or wouldn't? :)

She is adorable.
