Sorry, but this will just have to go.

Yes, I just can't even think of eating that thing. We bought some peanut butter last weekends, because said it was one of the things he just wasn't able to give up - no matter what the consequences might be. And he DID enjoy it and none of the Euro-chaps (Rinie, Igor and me) didn't even care to join in. I dipped my finger in it once and was pretty disgusted by that intense taste. Actually I tried it some 8-9 years ago and the results were exactly the same. And I was completely shocked to observe the feast of toast, some margarine, peanut butter and some jam. I can understand some (Northern)America typical padding easier now.

So, this will have to go. Tomorrow. Any takers? So, does that make me weird? Y/N And your ideas about peanut butter in general?

You don't like peanut butter? How un-American!

Wait...

So, what didn't you like about it?

It was.... too intense, too sticky, too creamy, way too-much of a peanuts taste.

I like 'em peanuts as they are, but that buttery thing just knocks me out. :)

Do you actually hate peanuts as well?

I love peanut butter. An old favourite of of mine (which I revived recently) was smoked ham and peanut butter in a sandwich. I have converted many to it. So wrong but so right. :-)

No, I like peanuts, especially salted roasted ones. Just can't get myself to like this buttery matter. :)

I eat some peanut butter nearly every day. Have since I was a kid. The only time I went without it was for two years. Can you guess where I lived during that time? ;)

I can understand you not liking it though. We were forever making cakes and cookies and brownies and sweets to give to people, and try to ingratiate ourselves while over there, till we finally realized it was too sweet for everyone, and was like someone in America walking around, handing out 2 lb bags of sugar to strangers.

How 'bout this - you never eat peanut butter, and I'll never eat potica - deal?

I can imagine it was your Slovenia time, yes. LOL

Yes, we don't like our food too sweet here. Potica.... I am not a fan of it either, I just like plain, un-processed walnuts best. :)

Have you ever tried organic all-natural peanut better? Its much less sweet and oily.

i really do like penutbuttter though i am quite shocked to think that people think its too sweet..it could be a brand thing too..i find penutbutter to be very low on the sweet side and almost savory tasting...things like nutela are sweet though..

but i will take it if no one else does..

I love love love love love peanut butter.

Though I will second the endorsement above of organic, all-natural peanut butter - the super-sweet peanut butter that I loved as a kid now turns me off. Now I like it unsalted and with as little sugar as possible.

Ok.... so I should try an organic, all-natural thing... one day. :)

So that I see how a proper thing should taste like.

And, yes, I hardly know anyone here who likes PB... Nutella is a different thing. I like it only with pancakes. Ok, and just plain ole eating with spoon. LOL

Ha. I rarely eat the stuff, but PB is sort of a way of life here. If I were to eat a PB&J sandwich any time soon, I would skip the margarine and use a very thin layer of peanut butter.

I wonder if a PB and Nutella sandwich would be good... hrm...

I love peanut butter! Maybe that's why I also have extra-padding. I have to admit, that only in small doses.

And I'm European!

I kind of like Nutella, too, but in very very small doses. But if you ever try the New Tree chocolate spreads, you will think that Nutella is crap: http://www.newtree.com/ - the trick is that it's got 70% less fat - because no oil is added. Nutella is 30% oil

Luckily, I am not peanut nor nutella addict. I think we bought nutella some 2-3 times in 7 years, so I am safe.

I just love my dairy products. :)

i go through peanut butter phases: sometimes i like it very much, and then i will go for months without eating it.

i must confess to being confused about it seeming sweet; i don't eat sweet peanut butter, and enjoy the more savory kind (and also the crunchy type). as with any national food, there are plenty of bad, poorly-made versions.
