So it's New York.

I spooted this one on herbe' LJ. Does it make any sense when it comes to a guy from little Slovenia, hidden on the right side of Italy and somewhere down from Austria? Dunno......

What American accent do you have?

New York City. You are most definitely from New York City. Not New Jersey, not Connecticut. If you are from Jersey then you can probably get into New York City in 10 minutes or less.

Take this quiz now - it's easy!
We're going to start with "cot" and "caught." When you say those words do they sound the same or different?

Hm. Well, maybe that's where a bunch of New Yorkers came from originally, contributing to their accent. Or maybe someone you care about and talk a lot with is a New Yorker.

I got "Inland North" or "Northern" as my result, as usual. Which is pretty accurate.

Very interesting result! : )

But I have to listen to your voice post so that I can tell if the result is correct. :P

that test is really not accurate at all. i've taken it before. i have a neutral accent with south eastern usa words and twangs thrown in here and there. and i have taken that test before and received a mid west designation and today i received a western accent. and after listening to your video again, you definitely do not have new york accent. not even close!

:D
