Italian Weekend

That was one FULL blast of the weekend (two weekends ago, that is). We spent it with our friends Enrico and Paolo from Treviso. It was a well planned weekend. We arrived to their home-city Treviso at Friday and we waited for (always busy) Paolo to come home from work and then we dashed to village Dont in the Dolomites. And then two days of great company, great food, VERY pleasant discovery of Italian prosecco (Thanks, Enrico :)), a lot of fun and really breath-taking views during our two hiking trips.

Well, forgive me if I didn't get all those names right, but I was all eyes (and camera) during those two days, so I can only write we went up to Gruppo Nuvolau-Averau near Cortina d'Ampezzo on our first day. Nice weather and amazing nature. The second day saw us around Rifugio Coldai in Civetta mountain chain. The weather wasn't really that nice, we had to walk through some really annoying cold rain, but the view from the top just pushed all that aside.

Maybe you don't know it yet, but I really love Italy and that weekend just made my belief a bit firmer. :)

The view from my window in Dont.

So, these are the images of Treviso and Dolomiti. Boy, oh, boy, was it nice!!!

Sitting on the top of the world. It was worth it. :)

Was such a lovely weekend.

The decision was easy. Enrico and Paolo just had to come to Slovenia, because we felt like some kind of sight-seeing payback was well deserved. :) And then came the next weekend. (And the next post. :))
