Thirty smiles - Take 12 - Wedding planning

No, no, don't get me wrong. It's not my wedding we're talking about here. It's Igor's "baby" sister's wedding. Tina and her boyfriend Uroš are getting married mid June, so the brain powerplant of the family (i. e. Igor, his brother and his entire family, his sister and her bf and me) just had to do some storming today. It was a nice, sunny day, just perfect for some getting together chez Tomaž&Metka (Igor's brother and his wife) weekend kinda mountain/hill house... And then later on at their home when evening chill chased us from that hill.

L: Today's smile - me and Kana, extremely sweet half-breed. She seems to get the best from her labrador and spaniel parents. Appetite included. :)
R: I need to GO somewhere. Soon.

L: It IS an art to give eight people eight different chairs... :)
R: Metka, Erazem (Igor's nephew), Uroš and Tina... planning.

L: Igor, Tomaž and Metka - planning? :)
R: Tina and Uroš - lovely couple.

****************************************************************

On a slightly different note. My parents are moving to another apartment (ok, just switching, they don't live in it anyway - a guess a house in the mountains is a better choice) and the new, smaller one just does not offer endless space for old junk so today I threw away my "history", as I often called it. I had some 10 huge boxes of toys, old school books, noteboks since I was 6... who could say what else. And today I got rid of it all, I just kept some "highlights". I thought it was going to be hard, but I said "goodbye" to all that stuff with extreme easiness. I guess in my head it was all gone years ago.

Oh, and among those highlights is also the only "celebrity item" I have - an autographed photo of Kevin Spacey. Boy oh boy, did I have a crush on that man!!! The Usual Suspects just turned me over and around and it and out and then eventually spat me out, leaving me empty and confused and with that photo as a reply to my slimy fan letter. No wonder I never did that again. LOL

Oh, faggots...... :)

All you need to do is to come to Europe... from there on it's a piece of cake

Just out of curiosity, what is your country's stance on gay marriage? Are the homosexuals treated as equals? Are they repressed and forced into the closet? Can you safely walk down the street holding Igor's hand in LJ?

Marriage is still not around, but you can get "registered". mitjablazic and vksi were the first in Slovenia to do it, but as a protest against really unfair law allowing those registrations, which more or less went by un-noticed. Treatment of homosexuals... it varies, as everywhere I'd say and the tolerance of "holding hands" might still be on the lower side, but in bigger cities I think you'd get a look and that might be it. Well, I am pretty "open and out" - to my family, friends, colleagues and all and with a job with some "visibility" I never encountered any problems of any kind.

I guess I am pretty lucky in Canada. Gay marriage is recognized across the country, and Vancouver in particular is very gay-friendly.

That's the coolest looking dog I've seen in a long time. The looks of a Labrador but small enough to carry.

Yes, Kana is an amazing bitch. A tiny Labrador, with all the kindness that goes with it and with an energy of a Spaniel. She just bounces around like little furry ball. Really a sight to see. :)
