I want some BUREK!!!

Yes, it was THE urge of the late afternoon. After Igor got home from his French lessons (Oui, oui, nous sommes des intellectuels... LOL) we both felt this great desire for some extra food, for a quick snack, actually. And the idea was clear and sharp: it is going to be burek, one of my favourite snacks. And off we were and burek was soon in my hands...

Absolut delish. LOL It's a rolled version.

And then off to Sir William's Pub, my local joint...

...where we had a couple of these. Absolut delish, yet again.

And then home. My usual way from work, just a tad darker.

The city was all but empty. Just Iggy.

Leffe c'est toujours bien
... this message is more for Igor: Une Leffe blonde c'est toujours qc de très bien. Je l'adore et j'en bois beaucoup. C'est la meilleure bière belge.
Believe me, I know what I am talking about. But the Burek, I do not know, we should perhaps import that to Belgium.

Thomas.... even though I am taking Italian lessons, I understood that completely. And I can nothing but agree with you. :)
And you should try burek once, I am sure.

... I knew that you would understand,
reason for which I assigned the msg to Igor - both of you are so intellectuels. What about German? If you commit yourself to go to a DE Course, I promise to learn SLO. How can I get a Burek? Is it sweet or more salty?

I found Leffe beer at a wine/beer shop here in Virginia. It is delicious - though very expensive in the U.S., especially considering that the bottles are smaller than normal. I also really liked the Edelweiss beer - http://www.austrianbeer.co.uk/?Edelweiss_Beer - we found in Vienna, but I don't think that's available in the U.S.

Yes, Leffe is rather steeply priced also here in Slovenia, but I just can't say no to it. :)

AUGH! WHERE'S THAT BUILDING?!?! Where's that building with the black marble-like pillars?

And would you believe I never in my life have had a burek? I didn't even know there were rolled kinds.
