Touched

I took a nap this afternoon. Bad night and long, exhausting work did it. And as I was waking up I heard a really beautiful song being played on the radio. It was the station I work for and I quickly called guys over there to see what that song was. Next step: Google and YouTube. And as I was watching the video (and enjoying wonderful song), the story really touched me. I even cried a bit. Here it is:

Juanes ft. Negrita - Dove le pietre sono mine (Where stones are landmines)

I am so diggin' this song.

I can only pick out a word here or there, but along with the video I'm getting the jist of what the song is about. Throw in the medolies and the mood and style of the song, and I love it.

I made it one of my favorites on my youtube account. (dreammryter also there.)

The blong guy, Negrita I believe, he's cute.

Yes, I also have the lyrics... now trying to come up with a reasonably appropriate english translation. :)

Oh, that would be really nice. Once you get that, I would repost the video with both sets of lyrics in my journal again, as well.

I am so glad you shared this. I can't stop listening to the song. (Some of the Italian is slowly sinking in.)

*smooch*

I've been learning Italian for a while now, so it's a bit easier, but I really want to get a good translation. :)

Oh, I should say that I don't know Italian, but that doesn't stop me from singing the song. So, when I said it was slowly sinking in, I was referring to the lyrics as is.

Don't want to make you think I'm all well-versed in the language or anything. *wink*

Hey, if you're able to, if you get the song in an .mp3 format, can you e-mail it to me? Or if you know a site that I can go to where I can download it? Let me know what you find.
