The last winter fling (this season)

I thought I was done and over with winter this season and my mind is already dangerously focused on warmer part of the year, hammock and beaches included. But so it happened I crossed my path with winter's one more time. This weekend was more or less traditional; Igor, whos birthday is on 1 Jan, every year hires a mountain cottage - on a mountain called Velika planina - which, incidentally, means The Big Mountain. :)))
Anyway, he hires a cottage and he invites his family to spend a weekend there. And this year it was ten people (and a dog). Ten people include two loud nephews, and the dog is actually THIS, so the weekend was on the intense (and at times exhausting) side, but I survived it. I am just not Kids&Pets person, although The Beast family (Beast is Zver in Slovene and that is their actual family name LOL) is an extremely caring, loving, kind and nice one. So, it was a lot of table games, a lot of fun in the snow and a lot of laughter.
It was just the weather that made it all a bit more difficult. It was severely winterish, cold and windy and - at times - dangerously foggy and cloudy. It was an on/off game for snow and nice sky.
But, in good company weather just shouldn't play an overly important role. And it surely didn't.

And this is Igor trying to make preparing food with onion a bit easier.......... Oh well LOL

hahaha... actually the time I used the ski goggles for cutting up a bag of onions it *did* help. Normally one or two onions is no biggy but a whole back would have choked me :)

And I do like all seasons, as long as I have someplace warm to go back to. I'd love to take a trip somewhere snowed in like in your pics, it's absolutely beautiful. A nice warm snuggly Tomaz to come back to would be nice too tho :)

Igor also had to deal with quite a load of onions... had to prepare the meal for ten people, so he really *needed* those goggles LOL

And yes, a trip to The Big Mountain would be just the Perfect start of great snuggling. :)

Igor would become the hottest DJ in NYC if they put that picture on the cover of his new mix CD...
