Aftermath.

So, I got that H1N1 vaccine yesterday morning and felt pretty normal (a big word for me) during most of the day. But from evening on things started moving in a pretty nasty and annoying direction. To name a few milestones of that direction: fever, severe headache, extreme muscle and joint pain. Hey, it felt like a pretty common flu. LOL I stayed home today, because even moving my eyes in the morning caused some nasty pain. I spent most of the day in bed, resting, sleeping. I am more or less okay now. But if I knew that it's going to be like it was..........

See? Fever....... :) And, no, it didn't go there.

Luckily it's over today. I am as good as new. Well, as close as I can get to "new" status at 39..... :)

That doesn't look exactly like a fever, but an elevated temperature. An actual fever would have you 1-2 °C or more above normal. Perhaps you had an allergic reaction to the ingredients in the shot?

I know, I know, I was just fishing for sympathy. :) It was just an allergic reaction, yes, they warn you about that. I am totally back on my feet today.

I am totally okay now. I got the reactions the same day, so I think you are completely safe. :)

I've said it before and I'll say it again. Nuthin' beats a good old fashioned leeching.

Nothing makes you feel better like a bunch of mouths all over your body just sucking away until you feel better.

I *heart* the idea!!! :)

Better to suffer 24 hours of flu than a whole week of it...

Get well soon

Of course, I agree. I just felt shitty. But with the trip to Egypt and soon after a skiing week I really didn't feel like getting sick. :)

Crazy metric system. I hate it. Can't wait to get back to normal measuring systems soon. :D

I guess I won't be needing that vaccine since I've already had 'Influenza A' - most likely H1N1...

Hope the funny feeling passes soon!

I am back on my feet again. All jumpy and all. Just a day of severe reaction, that was it, luckily. :)

I am not looking forward to getting mine for the same reason.

On the upside, you are posting so many great photos recently!

A day of pain and it was over. As Scott above said, better a day than a week of a real thing.
And thanks Kyle, I like to take pics, and when I do, I post them. :)))

ugh... your one of the few unlucky ones I've spoken to who had a problem with it. My regular flu shot made my arm super sore for days but the h1n1 didn't do a thing as far as soreness goes.

Yes, yes, it's my sensitive fragile body... LOL Dunno, maybe the fact this was first flu shot ever? My arm wasn't sore at all. Everything else was. Maybe that's why I didn't feel the arm. LOL
