Remember the time?

When BMW's were low, fast-looking, even fun-to-look-at cars? Not bizarre behemots and odd crossover that can make you puke a little. Ok, I admit, proportions of this drawing suck big time and design clues are pretty 90's, but I think you get the idea how I wish sport limousines should looked like today. At least how I see it. I might even come up with a more decent drawing, but HEY don't expect too much from sometone who is at home, nursing his cold. *oink oink*
You wish. LOL

Z4 is a really pretty car. I hope they return to agressive design, not whales.....

I was looking at the new Honda Accord Type-S today. Its actually really pretty (well the saloon is anyway - the tourer is a bit dull) - not what you expect from Honda at all! They either do utilitarian granny cars or completely wacky space pods!

It's a nice car, but I still rpefer the older version, it looked more sporty and elegant. The new one looks too heavy.

I wish BMWs looked like your drawing. They're incredible to drive and kind of weird to look at these days. But the driving and features just won out, as I'm ordering a 2010 535xi (black with brown-ish leather interior). The lease deals over here are amazing since it's the last year for the Bangle-ized 5-series. Maybe when that lease is up, things will be turning around style wise. Or maybe they could just bring back the man who designed our old 850i. Now THAT was a sexy BMW.

Thanks! :) And I must say you are a man of taste. And, yes, 850 was a magnificent car.

Hmmm, I'm not really a car person, but I know what you mean!

My ideal car is still:

Minus the dude that owns it.

Well done, T.
This work brings out a strong sense of "what if" or "if only" to me....
The 2002-08 7 series was a huge turn-off to me and many of BMW's subsequent designs remind me so much of our mid-90's Pontiac models that I probably wouldn't consider a BMW (even if I had the money) under any circumstances.
They're that ugly to me now.
This study is such a good representation of what BMW should have followed the E38 7 with: graceful, sporty, elegant. Clearly modern BMW "face". Flanks are gracefully sculpted, not tortured. In fact, I see some elements similar to a Quattroporte in this sketch.
And that is a very good thing...

Thanks, D.! :) Yes, some Bimmer are downright ugly and there's still no light at the end of that dark tunnel.
I had something what you mentioned in mind. Something more in BMW spirit, something with some flow, not with cracks and odd lines and all. Well, we'll see how it goes....

Mentioning the Quattroporte is a HUGE compliment. :)))))))))

Thanks, Bill.

507 was a fantastic car, yes, but for there were some really great designs even in the decades that followed. :)
