Accumulated (verbal) landslide.

It needed a few strong pushes and a few hours of forming The Speech in my head, but I managed doing it finally...  Ok, what I did today was basically going to my boss' office, telling her she's not doing the job she's supposed to, telling her she's totally poisoned the atmosphere on our radio station, that she hasn't got a clue what professional relationship means and that I am fed up up to my fucking ears (exact phrase) of her continuous attepmts of pulling the rug from under my feet. She had no aswers, but as far as I know her, she'll back up behind her line. For a while.

That's it.

Maybe it sounds risky, but it was well thought out and thought over. :)

We had more meetings today - the whole office. And there's a major hope she eventually got the message she's not working in a factory and that people can even matter.

Well, good luck on that, T. Next week I have to talk to my boss to try to fix for good some problems in my department, if it can't be done I'm relocating back to my previous post.

It's too early in the year for such crap, isn't it?

Yes, the year barely started, but I am calling it "widening the horizon".

Day was actually not that lousy, it was just terribly exhausting. But all in all it was a good one.

Did I sense sparks flying off the keyboard as you wrote that? I hope it gets results of the right kind.

No, I was actually pretty calm when I was writing this post. You should've seen me a couple of hours earlier. Or maybe the night before. I could've subsitute all that missing Russian gas. :)

If things get nasty, can you go to her boss, or is there a Human Resources (Personnel) department where you can also air your frustration?

Oh, I did some good airing, so I need no more help now. :)

It worked pretty okay.... Today we had a rather good meeting with all the journalists and she got the message.

WOW. And, here it is I thought that only Americans were capable of being toxic like that. Please, you've ruined my perfect vision of Slovenia!

Oh, you don't know me when I feel someone is trying to hurt or harm me. Beware of my shrapnels if I sense I am being pushed against the wall.

WOW!

Well done for being assertive! So, how DOES one say "up to my fucking ears" in Slovenian?

Oh - and you're not being affected by the Gas Supply cut-off, like many other European countries, are you? I can't have my gorgeous Tomaz (and Igor!) freezing! :-(

Up to my fucking ears.... "vsega imam dovolj do mojih kurčevih ušes.

Gas situation... we're also being cut off, but it might only affect industry. I am keeping warm as always. :)

I've done that a couple of times in my career, usually when I'm ready to go buy a gun I pull it together and yell at my boss instead. Each time I've managed to keep my job and improve the situation, so...best of fortune on this one.

I didn't even put my job in danger and I - think - managed to improve te situation. It was a planned and thought over "uncontrolled rage burst". :)

The one time I reached that point with a boss after talking we became best of friends and still are to this day! Not saying she will be your new best friend but sometimes it's worth taking the risk when the alternative is continued misery. Hope it works out.

Well, me and my boss will never ever be best friends because of the way she sees the world around her and because of her values, but if I manage to ensure livable working environment, I am at 100%, I'd say.
