Happy Meme #7: Thtuck? Thtuck. Thtuck!!!

Well, this one always and still works. After years and years and being watched times and times again it still sends me in outbursts of uncontrolled laughter. I watched it last night, but it was way after mindnight, so it was technically today. I just watched some scenes a couple of minutes ago and there they were again... outbursts of laughter.

How do you feel about this movie?

I have seen it so many times and I never get tired of it.

My man has never seen it even though he is a Christmas freak. I don't know how that happened. Can't wait to watch it with him for his first time.

Oh, it will a perfect viewing I am sure. This move is really great and - usually - I don't like movies with kids and such. :)

Mine too. Or maybe it's The Nightmare Before Christams? Hmm.... time for a poll. LOL

It's so easy to adore it. It seems like centuries ago when I've seen it for the first time and it just hasn't lost any of the "impact". :)

Love it!!

There is a channel here that runst if repeatedly for 24-hours over Christmas Day!

I especially like Ralphie's brother Randy, in that huge, red snowsuit, rolling around on the ground trying to get up. Cracks me up each time.

How it's called?
I remember doing this myself, only it was a padlock. :)

A Christmas Story. A 1983 movie that's just brilliant. :)

And how did they un-stick you?

Thanks!
There wasn't any of THEM around, I had to leave a piece of my tongue on that padlock, but I survived. :)

But it probably hurt. Survival is an effort....

It did hurt, big time! And for some weird reason I did it twice, both time with padlocks, I just remembered that. :) Maybe I wanted to trick it for the second time, but it didn't work.

Yes, padlocks tend to be wise... at times. :)

Either that or they have some secret ways of exchanging knowledge of how to bait kids at winters. :)

I once froze my lips to a pair of skis. It wasn't that spectacular and lips are not that sensitive. :)

So I got it easier.

But skis are made of wood, how can you freeze anything to skis? :)

Just watched that movie, it's beautiful!
It feels like nostalgia for a place that you have never been to, or something. :)

But skis also had some edges, made of steel. And my lips ended there. :)

Yes, the movie is really charming.

YAY... I do still love this movie. I remember going to see it when it first came out and still never tire of it when they play it every Christmas. Funny thing is I prolly have not seen it in it's entirety from beginning to end since I first saw it in 1983. Seems like I always catch part of it on tv, watch a half hour or so then move on.

Yes, it's that kind of a movie. You can see part of it, feel happy and move on. :)

It's one of these American holiday classics that I wasn't aware of until I came here. Maybe it would have helped if I'd first seen it at an early age, but....it doesn't hold super-duper special magic for me.

Now 'It's a Wonderful Life'? That gets me teary at the end every time! :-)

Dec. 15th, 2008 11:13 pm (UTC)
It's also a Slovene classic. Well, at least mine. LOL

Wonderful life is a bit before my time. hee hee

It's fun, yes. And I need to check my memory whether it remembers Holiday Inn.
